
Shankara
Shankara has been immersed in yoga all his life, born in Mysore, India and encouraged into teaching yoga by his Father in his early twenties.
His early studies have brought him to explore many styles of yoga asana, be initiated in the Kriya Yoga Lineage, explore the Chinese martial arts and traditional medicine, and immerse himself deeply into Native American spirituality.
Through seeking a common thread in all of this, 25 years later, he developed a deep respect for the simplicity of traditional teachings and how they open up and unfold with deepening experience.
In the yoga studio his teaching will be based on the principles taught by Krishnamacharya.
A practice focused on breath and postural alignment, and guided each step of the way by the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Whether you seek a deeper connection to the body, health, energetic and emotional clarity, peace of mind or spiritual unfoldment the traditional teachings will support you in your journey for the time we are together and for many years beyond that.
