Sarah

Sarah has been practising and teaching yoga for over 15 years. Since her arrival in Montreal in 2002,  she has balanced her life working as a social worker with Indigenous children for the Native Womens Shelter of Montreal, birth doula work (private and voluntary with the Montreal Doula Collective) and motherhood and family life. She currently has 6 children between the ages of 5 and 21 and feels that without doubt, her children are her greatest teachers.

After completing her first yoga teacher training in 2011 with Kelly McGrath, while home educating her children, she also completed trainings in pre and post-natal yoga (Janet Clarfield) and mom and baby yoga (Jayme Hernandez) and it was not until an extended visit home to England in 2017 that she stumbled by accident into an Ashtanga class and from that moment Ashtanga became her practice. After completing an Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with Jamie Lee in 2019 (which also coincided with her surprise 6th pregnancy) she feels the practice carried her through the pregnancy and birth.  Over the course of the last 8 years she feels that this practice has been her anchor. She is very grateful for the generous teachers who have shared their teachings over the years and is now keen to share her passion for this practice with others.
