With over 15 years of teaching experience, Michael brings a sense of nuance and sustainability to the practice. His teaching centers on foundational principles that apply broadly from beginners to advanced practitioners, and he especially enjoys exploring and teaching how simple aspects of yoga develop according to practitioner’s needs.


Michael is particularly skilled at offering methods to prevent, manage, and recover from injury, helping practitioners understand interconnected factors that comprise a stronger, healthier, long-term practice.


Private lessons with Michael will usually include a brief  evaluation, discussion of your needs and goals, and then a few practices that are tailored to those needs and intended to be incorporated into your regular routine. As you incorporate those practices and become familiar with them, subsequent lessons will either develop those you’ve already learned or move on to additional practices that suit your progress.
