In 2014, Giverny Welsch embarked on her journey into the world of yoga, initially seeking to enhance her awareness of embodiment for dance auditions. This transformative practice deepened her understanding of movement and creativity, ultimately leading her to be accepted into the professional dance bachelor’s program at l’UQÀM, where she graduated three years later with invaluable insights into her art. Determined to further enrich her practice, Giverny completed the 200-hour Teacher Training program at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal, guided by the esteemed Jeanne Mudie and Julien Gagnon. Since then, she has embraced a variety of teaching opportunities, working with both seasoned dancers and novices alike. Whether leading corporate groups or engaging with children from diverse backgrounds, Giverny has discovered profound joy in nurturing others' willingness to learn about their bodies. For Giverny, yoga is not just a practice; it is a pathway to deeper self-discovery and understanding, providing structure and clarity in her life. In her classes, she creates a space that fosters wonder and curiosity, inviting students to explore the subtle intricacies of their own movement.
