Handstand Level-Up Intermediate-level Handstand Workshop Series In handstands, the journey IS the destination. Along the way, there is plenty to discover, compelling us to forge new mind-body connections. In this course, we’ll activate our full range of motion in key joints, deepen our core, train our proprioception, and tone our nervous system as we become more autonomous balancing upside down, on our hands. Each class moves us through a full-body warm-up, specific mobility and strength exercises, core tension drills, related inversions, partner work, and relaxation. Special to the November series, we’ll also examine a particular Handstand position each week and explore its relevance to the classic, straight-line handstand : Week 1 (Jan 06): Tuck Handstand Week 2 (Jan 13): Straddle Handstand Week 3 (Jan 20): Pathways to Press Week 4 (Jan 27): One-arm Foundations Participant profile This November series is geared towards participants who already have experience with inversions and upper-body strength training, whether through yoga, calisthenics, dance, swimming, martial arts, or other.
