Nia is an expressive movement practice for body, mind, emotions and spirit that integrates the joy and grace of the dance arts: Modern, Jazz, Duncan. The power and precision of the martial arts: Tai Chi, Aikido, Tae-Kwon- Do, and the wisdom of the healing arts: Yoga, Alexander Technique, & Feldenkrais GROOVE by Misty Tripoli, is a simple yet revolutionary and foundational approach to teaching dance or movement to foster self awareness, authentic movement, creativity and unique self expression, for the body, mind, heart and soul. Felicia blends these 2 modalities creating an all abilities movement experience to explore our authentic, unique, sacred selves and uncover joy. Class is done in bare feet, set to all sorts of musical styles with no complicated choreography. No experience necessary, simply a sense of curiosity. Felicia Shulman is a versatile, passionate actor with over 40 years of experience in theatre, film, TV, voice and movement: Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Tap, Spanish, & Character. Felicia has been GROOVING since 2011. As a Nia Black Belt, Felicia peppers functional fitness with varied energy studies, deepening her body language as a “sensation scientist". She is certified in Nia's revolutionary Move 2 Heal Technique and is a GROOVE designer in training. Felicia is continually studying movement, fitness and acting at various workshops and conferences worldwide, including: 5 Rhythms, 5 Stages of Healing, Reiki, and Gaga. She recently completed her YinYoga certification, Nia Free Dance and Nia's Healing Trauma Through Movement. Felicia is an Enthusiastic Fun Dynamic teacher who puts people at ease and cultivates the BEST in each individual.
