Julie is a professional dancer, dance educator & yoga instructor. She originally trained in classical ballet at l’École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec before retraining in contemporary dance at L’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in 2015 (formally ladmmi). Since graduating, she has danced professionally for several contemporary dance companies across Montréal and Halifax. Yoga has always been a part of Julie’s core training as a student and professional dancer, but it was at Ashtanga Yoga Montréal that she found her home. This led her to complete her Yoga Teacher Training certification at AYM under the mentorship of Jeanne Mudie in 2020. Julie’s practice is rooted in functional anatomy and is informed by her years of dance training, Pilates, Ashtanga Yoga, and various somatic movement practices. For Julie, Yoga is about exploring, expanding, tuning in, and letting go—not attaining the perfect asana. Her passion for movement is undeniable, and she loves developing inclusive classes tailored to students of all ages and abilities.
