Cynthia is inspired by nature, interactions between human beings and animals, the breath within all cells of the body, the movement that stems from the breath, and the dynamic action of spirals enveloping human anatomy. Graduate of Les Ateliers de Danse Moderne, her professional dance career caused her interest to grow for injury prevention, along with the ability we all possess to heal ourselves from within. She was drawn to Pilates technique through dance and became a certified Pilates teacher in 2005. A first yoga workshop with Hart Lazer brought her to deepen her connection to the mind, body and spirit. Certified 500 hour Ashtanga teacher trained, she is greatful to have received teachings from Mark Darby, Alison Ulan, Father Joe, T.K.V Desikachar, Mark Whitwell, Ron Reid, to name a few. She deepened her understanding of the body with a BSc degree in Athletic Therapy. Her current work as a certified Athletic Therapist, Pilates and yoga instructor for the Cirque du Soleil have challenged new limits, directing her towards an instinctive path of osteopathic studies. Her third year on this journey have guided her towards the integrated whole of the body and its capacity to formulate its own remedies against disease when in a balanced, normal structural relationship. Her personal yoga and meditation practice support this idea of balance and direct her to listen to intuition, the heart, and the truth. She transmits her passion for the union of mind, body soul, forming a relationship with oneself and how to live in harmony with the world.
